Kabaz is all about gifting
It's in our name, and it's in our nature.
The name Kabaz originated from the Portuguese word 'Cabaz' meaning gift hamper. Traditionally, a Cabaz or gift hamper was give by businesses to their employees during the Christmas season as a form of appreciation for their service.
The Kabaz app was created to encourage the act of giving, not only during the festive season, but anytime a person would like to be generous.
It helps people give gifts to their friends, family and loved ones while also in the process, supporting and promoting the small and local businesses they love. The app is run by Filo and Gloria Sigloy, a Hamilton-based couple, with 2 adorable young children, who are passionate about giving back and supporting their communities, both the ones within Canada, and those abroad.
